Anything you can do, I can do better?

Anything you can do, I can do better!.
They are similar in many aspects,
but very different in others.
They have many interests,
hobbies, and other things in common,
yet….

Instead of supporting one another,
They compete.
It is usually a silent competition,
But it is clear when they backhand one another
with their triumphs.

Happiness, milestones, or successes,
It’s all about competitiveness,
Pain, setbacks, and hardships.
It makes no difference what the topic is,
Fashion, hobbies, appearance, creativity, intelligence,
It’s all a game, for better or worse.
They both claim to be the bigger person,
But neither are.

They compete pointlessly,
Never talk to one another,
Yet shout about the other,
Anything you can do, I can do better.

Instead of competing, collaborate.
So instead of loathing one another, respect one another.
Learn to accept, communicate with one another,
Forgive one another.

Embrace the past, move on,
Appreciate the other person’s triumphs,
Accept one another,
Work with rather than against each other,
And forge forwards together,
Rather than dragging one another back,
by their hair.

As equals, strive together.
Anything we can do together will be greater.
