The heroine's true self

She talks so pleasantly, so eloquently, articulately if you will. But away from public scrutiny, behind closed doors, her actual self-arises with a poisonous tongue. With her ceaseless wrath, she assembles her army to attention. Readying her troops to attack all those she believes wronged her in any way. She plays the heroine of her own story, yet what she doesn’t seem to notice is, her noxious gas consumes all those around her. The cause of many people’s agony, not that she will ever comprehend. She plays judge, jury, and executioner. It matters not the crime, nor whether you are guilty.
She is the hidden villain to many untold stories.
The antagonists, perhaps. You be the judge.
